Women Minister to Jesus

Now, many women who possessed much wealth, and abode in other towns of Galilee, implored that Jesus and the twelve, together with the masters from the foreign lands, would thither go and preach and heal.

Among these anxious ones were Mary Magdalene, who was possessed by seven homeless spirits of the air, which had been driven out by the Omnipotent Word, Yahweh, which Jesus spoke.

Susanna, who owned vast estates at Caesarea-Philippi.
Johanna, wife of Chuza, one of Herod's court.
And Rachel from the coast of Tyre.
And other from beyond the Jordan and the sea of Galilee.
And they provided ample means, and three times seven men went forth.

Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities — Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.

The women were the disciples. Some of them were apostles. They followed Jesus Christ and the apostles to various places.

When we travel to a faraway cities, to spread the gospel, to make them know that the king has come, we do not usually go with cooked foods and water. All that we know was that we were following Jesus Christ along, to make the journey successful. We move out to call people together, who shall hear the word, and we make peace to reign in their midst, and we prevent discomforts and quarrels in their midst. And Jesus Christ would go on to deliver teachings to the gatherings, to the multitudes.

The women and Mary Magdalene were the people who cooked food. They gathered and organized themselves. They had pots, spoons and all other cooking utensils, for gospel and evangelism.

When we get to the city or venue, the women start cooking. When we finish, eat food.

Explanations:

1.     It is everybody’s duty to support God’s work, by each contributing according to what he can provide.

2.     This simple duty is not only good, but also compulsory.

3.     Do not be among those who come to the house of God, to take blessings and go away, without contributing to God’s work.
